A fantastic school district located in Pontiac, MI is seeking a School Social Worker to join the team for the 20252026 school year. In this role, you will provide critical mental health and social-emotional support services to students, working collaboratively with educators and families to foster student success.
Responsibilities:

Provide individual and group counseling to support students emotional and social development

Conduct assessments to identify student needs and develop intervention plans
-
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school teams to promote academic and personal growth

Provide crisis intervention and referrals to community resources when needed

Maintain documentation and participate in IEP meetings

Advocate for students and ensure equitable access to support services
Qualifications:

Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) required

Valid Michigan School Social Worker License issued by the Michigan Department of Education

Previous school-based experience preferred

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
